ramlosa - housing
The scheme contains 27 identical family units in two-stories with gardens, sunny terraces and a small, semi-private leisure area facing the common courtyard.
The buildings appear as a ligth scheme, cross illuminated by floor to ceiling windows along the entire recessed facade, which has more closed additions attached on both sides.
It represents a row house scheme, which to a great degree interprets the Danish row house tradition. Newer Swedish housing on the other hand, does not offer the same unreserved relationship to the neigbors and interior views as the Danish, and thus the office had to make special allowances in order to mitigate the transition from the common to the private areas - therefore the wall, the bench and the small terrace.
