CRIMP

1st prize in an invited competition.

the CRIMP house is an attempt to further vandkunsten's research into the democratic work place. in this house production, offices, and sales all happen in the same space and under the same roof. issues of fire security and acoustics were highly complex but ultimately resolved.

in an unexpected turn of events, CRIMP went out of business at the exact same time that the local town hall was deemed uninhabitable, and vandkunsten refurbished the house for the municipality who now hold their meetings here.
